Potential mild spoiler ahead...
The shroud of secrecy surrounding JJ Abrams' Star Trek sequel is so secure that we feel obliged to report anything interesting that we hear. Hence, this story, which briefly concerns the role that Peter Weller will be taking in the film.
Production has all-but-wrapped on the movie, which is now heading into its extensive post-production schedule. Weller's involvement in the movie has been known, but where he fits in is a bit of a mystery.
At a special event for the 25th anniversary of RoboCop, TrekMovie caught up with Weller on the red carpet, and asked him whether his role involved any kind of prosthetic work. His answer? "No, do I look like an alien to you? No man."
He did drop a hint to go with that denial, though. "Let me put it this way", he added. "I have my own ship".
Where does he fit in, then? Is he part of Starfleet? Sounds like it. Feel free to speculate below...
