Microsoft’s next Xbox is being built as you read this, according to reports…
If sources from IGN are to be believed, it would appear as though the next Xbox, whatever it ends up being called, is actually in production, and is being manufactured right now.
Flextronics, the same company responsible for manufacturing the original Xbox and the Xbox 360, has allegedly gone through various testing phases of the new console and has moved on to production. It's believed that the only units being produced are for production, rather than retail, but if true, Microsoft's claim of not showing the Xbox at this year's E3 could be a little bit of misdirection from the Redmond giant, and it could well steal the show with a shock reveal.
Let's just hope that Flextronics has done considerably more testing than it did with the infamously unreliable 360, and that the new console doesn't end up on that inevitable flight to Microsoft's repair shops within a couple of months.
