If a recent PEGI rating is anything to go by, one of the greatest games of all time is coming to PS3…
As reported by Digital Spy, it would appear as though the Ion Storm über classic, Deus Ex, is coming to the PlayStation Network. Apparently, the games rating board, PEGI, has recently rated the PS2 version of the original Deus Ex for PlayStation 3 as a 16 title.
This has lead many to believe that the PS2 Classics line is about to get some conspiracy-laden FPS/RPG goodness is the form of the legendary Deus Ex, the game that Deus Ex: Human Revolution was a direct prequel to.
Although the PC original was the far superior version of the two, the PS2 port was also surprisingly good, given the memory limitations of the platform, and if a new generation of gamers gets the chance to sample this critically acclaimed title, all the better.
So far, Square Enix hasn't commented on whether this release is going to happen or not, but the rating of Deus Ex being for PS3 only, and the fact that it's been rated at all strongly suggests that there's a good chance the game will hit PSN at some point. For now, though, we'll have to wait and see.
Of course, if you're reading this and have played Deus Ex already, you know you want to go back and reinstall it now. Go on, don't fight it.
