Purveyor of the episodic adventure, Telltale, has launched its latest venture, the video game adaptation of the hugely successful The Walking Dead. The game, which is based upon the original comics, follows new character Lee Everett, a suspected criminal who, after a zombie-to-car mishap is set free in the hellish undead apocalypse. Some second chance, huh?
Proceeding alongside, and even prior to the events seen in Rick Grime's story, Lee's outing will see him run into many characters, some new to the series, and other, recognisable faces from Rick's saga.
As you can see from this trailer, although Telltale's usual comic-style has been applied to the gruesome story, it's no family adventure, and there's plenty of violence and drama to be had, along with the bucket load of zombies.
The first episode can be purchased right now on the official Telltale website and Steam for PC and PSN for PS3, with the Xbox version to arrive on Xbox Live soon. You can also buy a season pass to grab all episodes in one go.
