The next Call of Duty game will be revealed in just a few days…
It's hardly going to go down in history as the best kept secret in gaming (either that, or best use of tactical leakage), but Activision has announced that this year's Call of Duty will be revealed on May 1 during the NBA playoffs on TNT.
Although not officially confirmed, it's universally believed that the new game will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 by Treyarch, a belief backed up be recent leaks including promotional posters and multiplayer specifications. This year is also the traditional dev-sharing Treyarch year for CoD, meaning IW will probably be taking a CoD break. The announcement image also bears more than a passing resemblance to Black Ops' style too.
As many hardcore CoD fans still prefer Black Ops over the latest MW3, especially in regard to multiplayer, this may come as good news, and we've only got just over a week to see if the rumours are correct.
