Guy Pearce is joining Robert Downey Jr in the cast of Shane Black's Iron Man 3, it's been revealed...
Mild spoiler here. Nothing, we'd wager, you won't know by the time the film is out, but just giving you the option of moving on if you don't want to know who Guy Pearce is set to play in Iron Man 3.
Currently promoting surprisingly good space prison movie Lockout Guy Pearce seems to have landed a new role in a major blockbuster, as it’s being reported that he’s signed on to appear in Iron Man 3.
The film is set to start production in the next few weeks, which explains why the cast is starting to come together. Last week's thus-far unconfirmed rumour suggested the involvement of Sir Ben Kingsley in the movie, for instance. With the casting of Pearce, though, comes a little bit of extra information on the movie.
For Shane Black’s film is set to be based on Warren Ellis’ Extremis series, that sees Tony Stark experiment with nanotechnology. The creator of the technology, geneticist Aldrich Killian, will be played by Pearce.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle are set to return to reprise their roles in the franchise, as is Robert Downey Jr of course.
