The latest television show of old to be pillaged for the big screen looks set to be The Rockford Files. The 1970s NBC series saw James Garner star as Jim Rockford, the cop turned PI, but for the new movie version? It looks like Vince Vaughn is set to star.
Vaughn is also set to co-produce the film, with Universal Pictures hiring Brian Koppelman and David Levien to pen the screenplay for it.
It’s early days for the film yet, and Vince Vaughn has a project or two to film beforehand. Don’t be surprised if The Rockford Files goes into production next year, though…
