Max Payne 3 will see plenty of slo-mo diving and shooting, as evident in this latest trailer…
After The Matrix made the effect famous, there's been no shortage of Bullet Time use in various aspects of the media. One of the best of these has to be seen in Max Payne. The mechanic greatly enhanced the original game all those years ago, and granted it a stylish and unique feature no one had seen before. Max kept this for his second outing, and now, in episode three, he's still as adept and jumping around, Steve Austin style (that's Lee Majors, bionic Steve Austin, not the stone Cold 3:16).
This latest trailer demonstrates the various advantages Max's Bullet Time ability gives him, and shows off some of the more stylish elements, such as slow motion kill cams and fluid, seamless animation that leaves the player in control at all times. And you know what, it looks very cool, indeed.
Max Payne 3 will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 15.
