Leaked artwork might reveal 20th Century Fox’s plans to release a limited edition Alien Easter egg - which comes with a rather sweet surprise inside…
With the release of Prometheus just around the corner, it’s natural enough that there’s been a renewed interest in Ridley Scott's classic Alien. And as the Alien Anthology, released in 2010, and the lavish Alien Vault book, released last year, appeared to pave the way for the release of Prometheus, it looks as though 20th Century Fox is planning to commemorate the genesis of its sci-fi horror franchise with a particularly sweet piece of merchandise: an Alien Easter egg.
As the leaked artwork below notes, it’s a limited edition – and since we haven’t seen these for sale at our local supermarket, it’s likely they’ve been produced in extremely small quantities, and may only be intended for Fox employees. But given just how much interest there currently is in the Alien franchise right now, and the box suggesting that its egg contains a ‘delicious white chocolate facehugger’, we’re guessing that there are quite a few fans who wouldn’t mind purchasing one of these for themselves…
