Mass Effect 3 fans eager for a better ending will get more than they bargained for if they fall for a new scam…
As if the whole Mass Effect 3 ending debacle couldn't get any worse, now Internet scammers are attempting to trick gamers into downloading a supposed, better ending.
Spotted by security firm, GFI Software, a new scam, which offers gamers the opportunity to download a better ending for Mass Effect 3, is doing the rounds. The offer, which is, of course, totally fake, takes users to a download page that's simply a trick to gather people's details. The promised ‘better ending', is a bogus zip file that contains nothing, and all you'll get is a load of advertising.
Now, it's unlikely that many will fall for this typically ridiculous scam. If, and when any such revisions to the ending arise, then it's a fair bet BioWare will let us know itself, instead of sending out poorly worded, and grammatically challenged messages such as this.
Steer clear of any such promises, and wait for official announcements from BioWare. I know you're eager for a good ending, but, all good things...
