Appreciating that websites such as this one, and movie marketing campaigns, make it ever easier to pre-judge a film based on a promo, it’s still worth bearing in mind that you can have poor-to-middling trailers, and still get a good film spat out of the other end. 21 Jump Street is a good recent example.
It’s worth bearing that in mind particularly whilst watching this depressingly bad promo for The Farrelly Brothers’ upcoming movie of The Three Stooges. It’s just, well, horrible. Pitching the movie as a precursor to Jackass obviously has some marketing potential to it, but, er, perhaps it’s best to see for yourself…
