Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park is to get a big screen re-release, with a 3D bolt-on…

We suspect that this news may make some of you feel as old as we do right now. In 2013, Jurassic Park celebrates its 20th birthday. The more we dug into this, the scarier the list of films about to hit 20 becomes, in fact. Groundhog Day, Falling Down, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Last Action Hero, The Fugitive, In The Line Of Fire…we can feel wrinkles on our skin forming as we write these very words.

Still, 20 is a good excuse for a party, and it’s been announced that on 19th July 2013, Universal will be releasing Jurassic Park on the big screen once more, this time in 3D.

We’ve yet to see one of these big screen retro-conversion 3D efforts work, and folks we’ve spoken to about Titanic don’t seem too keen, even, on what’s been done there. But on the upside, usually, new 2D prints are sent out too. It’s just a job of tracking down a screening.

Jurassic Park back, again, on the big screen, then? That’ll do very nicely, thank you…
