It’s been a bit of a journey, but the script to Bill & Ted 3 is now apparently complete, to the satisfaction of its two stars…
Whilst one belated sequel, Ghostbusters 3, continues to hit problems, it seems that the chances of a third Bill and Ted movie continue to grow.
It’s little secret that work has been ongoing with regards a screenplay for the project. But it seems that the final draft has now been turned in, as Keanu Reeves has confirmed that “Yeah, we have a script. We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script, too”.
This, in turn, led to further confirmation coming from Alex Winter, through the medium of Twitter. He posted, after being asked about Bill & Ted 3: “Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!”
The green light is, of course, the biggest obstacle of the lot. Belated sequels have had a bumpy ride of late, with new instalments of both Spy Kids and Scream performing below expectations. It’ll be interesting to see how well American Pie: The Reunion does, as that may yet prove to be a catalyst for a posh movie executive to open up their wallet.
As always, as we hear more, we’ll give you a shout. Or write about it on the Internet. Whichever is more practical at the time.
