The BBC has released the first promo picture for Doctor Who series 7, as well as confirming some details, and introducing some guest stars…
There’s an extremely well-known spoiler hinted at below.
As you may already know, filming officially began on the seventh series of Doctor Who (since its 2005 revival) at the start of the week, and already we’ve had a few unofficial snaps, that have announced the addition of Mark Williams to the guest star roster.
Well, the BBC has now officially confirmed that Williams is one of said guest stars, and has also revealed that both David Bradley (Harry Potter films) and Rupert Graves (Sherlock, V For Vendetta) are set to appear, too.
It’s also promised us “Fourteen big, blockbuster-movie episodes - each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you've never seen them before.”
The official BBC release teases that “Series 7 will then see a dramatic turn of events when The Doctor meets a new friend. Prepare yourselves for thrills, adventures and dramatic surprises as the show builds towards its enormous, climactic 50th anniversary year.”
That all makes it sound fairly certain that the next series will span late 2012 and early 2013. And those fourteen episodes, we assume, will include the Christmas special.
