It appears as though Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is on its way, after an accidental leak at Amazon…
Originally discovered by French gaming site, Gameblog.fr, Amazon France apparently put up a listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, but them promptly removed it from the site, not before people noticed.
Following on from this fraction of info, Joystiq discovered that Black Ops 2 was also listed on an artists CV, an artist that works for Nerve Software, which has worked on Activision titles such as, 007: Quantum of Solace, Quake Wars and, of course, CoD: Black Ops. Activision has also registered the BlackOps2.com domain name to boot.
Of course, although this leak may have put the title out there sooner than expected, it's no real surprise. Anyone betting against another Call of Duty this year would be a fool, and given the usual staggered Infinity/Treyarch deployment, it was practically a certainty that the next game would be Black Ops 2. At least there's some more evidence now. More news as we get it.
