Guild Wars 2, the next instalment of the hugely popular MMORPG original is also coming to home consoles…
It's been revealed in an NCScoft conference call that Guild Wars 2, the follow-up to the original MMORPG that many consider to be the only true alternative to WoW (well, except Star Wars fans) is coming to consoles.
This was later bolstered in a post on Guild Wars 2 Guru by Martin Kerstein of ArenaNet, in which he states "We stated multiple times in public that we have a small team working on a console version, but that we are fully dedicated to make the most kickass game for PC."
With the MMORPG market dominating PC gaming, console users have had little in the way of online RPG action other than Phantasy Star Online. The arrival of Guild Wars 2 will hopefully address that. It's unlikely that it'll launch soon though, and the PC version will certainly be the priority.
