“It’s respectful. I think he’d like it” actor Benjamin Walker says of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the forthcoming movie in which he plays an undead-slaying version of 16th president of the United States. We’re not so sure if a film that sees Lincoln spinning, leaping and wielding an axe in glorious slow-mo could be described as respectful, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun, in a batty sort of way.
The snippets of footage below, spotted on US station CBS, provide our first look at Timur Bekmambetov’s forthcoming adaptation of the hit mash-up novel, due out in the UK on the 2nd of August. We expect a full trailer to emerge in the next 24 hours, which we will of course share with you as soon as we spot it.
