Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are all set to be very rich men, if the latest reports about The Hangover 3 are to be believed…
Never mind the fact that it got some of the worst reviews of any comedy released last year, The Hangover Part II nonetheless brought in some serious, serious cash for Warner Bros. It brought in $581m at the box office alone last year (over $100m more than the original), and that meant that a third movie was pretty much a certainty.
As it turns out, Warner Bros is looking to have the film in production this year, with the idea being to release it in May 2013. This time, the movie is set in Los Angeles, and negotiations are underway to re-recruit Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the trio are asking for $15m apiece to make the new film, and the signs are – even appreciating the days of star mega-salaries aren’t quite what they were – that they’re going to get it.
Assuming the deal is done quite quickly, Todd Phillips is also all but certain to return to direct, too. If anyone of the key players pull out, though, we're happy to fill in for just a tenth of what they'd charge. Just thought it worth making the offer.
