As they prepare to be shipped to Africa, some of the vehicles for Mad Max: Fury Road have been spotted.
Given just how long the gap has been between the last instalment of the Mad Max franchise, it can't just be me that's been a little sceptical that Mad Max: Fury Road would actually get made - even with a stars of the calibre of Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron attached.
Indeed, the production hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing thus far, with numerous delays most recently due to there being too much rain in the original location George Miller and his team had in mind. This meant that what was normally a desert was covered in flowers. And we can’t have too many of those in a Mad Max film now, can we?
Now the production is set to relocate to Africa, and as it prepares to do so, some pictures have been snapped of some of the vehicles they have lined up for the film. Said vehicles were being prepared for transportation.
What we can see so far appears to be some rather menacing looking heavy duty vehicles that will probably be driven by the antagonists, as well as some smaller, presumably nippier, vehicles which are similar to those seen in The Road Warrior.
Rather pleasingly, it’s rumoured that there are several vehicles being shipped over that resemble the Interceptor which was a modded Ford XB GT Falcon, and Mad Max’s vehicle of choice. So it certainly looks as though we’ll get to once again see some of George Miller’s genius vehicular carnage on the big screen.
Mad Max: Fury Road is the first of a planned trilogy that we’re more than a little excited about. More news on it when we get it.
