The covers are slowly coming off the film that was the Alien prequel, as new pictures from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus appear…
Of all the big films heading our way next summer, the one that’s comfortably been veiled in the most effective cloak of secrecy has been Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.
Granted, we know that this was the film once billed as the Alien prequel, but is now a story being told in the same universe as that flick. We also know that the cast features Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron. And we know too that the film is earmarked for June next year.
We hope that we might get a look at a trailer this year, although whenever we talk to anyone at Fox, we never manage to get very far on the subject. Here’s hoping, though.
What we do have, though, is a collection of new stills from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. These offer some glimpses of the production design of Prometheus, and while it’s tricky to read too much into them, there’s nothing discouraging in the slightest that we see here.
