The first positive signs that Fox has decided to press ahead with a follow-up to X-Men: First Class have surfaced. And they’re really quite positive indeed.
The studio has apparently hired a writer to get the ball rolling on the film, although we should point out that Fox hasn’t officially confirmed this yet. The name being bandied around is Simon Kinberg, who was a writer on X-Men: The Last Stand and the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Whether director Matthew Vaughn will return is still unclear, as it’s early days for the project. But we’ll keep you posted…
