Danny Boyle follows up his Oscar success with Slumdog Millionaire with 127 Hours. And we’ve got the trailer for it here…
How do you follow up on an Oscar winning critical and commercial smash like Slumdog Millionaire? Given that director Danny Boyle has never been one to stick to one genre, the predictable answer is that you do something very different.
In his case, you go and make 127 Hours, a film about mountain climber Aron Ralston (played by James Franco) who found himself trapped by a big boulder for days. It's based on a true story, but we'll still not tell you just what happened next, in case you're not familiar with it and want to find out through the film itself. And this maiden trailer for it doesn't give away what Ralston had to go through either.
The film itself closes the London Film Festival in October, and is pencilled in for a US release on 5th November. There's no word yet on a wider UK release, but we'll keep you posted.
