There’s something mildly-spoilery in this latest round up from the world of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises…
The second of the three stories we're chatting about here is a little bit spoiler-y. If, indeed, it turns out to be true.
Production on Christopher Nolan’s final Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, continues, and as it turns out, there’s still time for another small snippet of casting news. So let's start with that.
The latest addition to the resident list for Gotham City is Rob Brown. He’s appeared in the likes of Coach Carter and Finding Forrester, two pretty forgettable films, in all honesty, but it’s not been confirmed just what role he’s in the new Batman movie. Which makes this a not-massively-helpful news story.
Meanwhile, Cillian Murphy has been talking to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo (on their weekly Radio Five Live film review show) about the rumours that he might be in The Dark Knight Rises.
Murphy had been strongly linked to a return for The Dark Knight Rises, but when pushed by the pair to confirm it, he played things with a straight bat. He refused to be drawn as to whether he was involved in the new movie, although reading between the lines, it looks a solid bet that he’ll be back. Er, not least because he’s been seen on the set of The Dark Knight Rises. That might be a clue.
Finally, at the Scream Awards, The Dark Knight Rises has picked up the gong for the Most Anticipated Movie. It’s a new one of us, this, where gongs are given out to films that haven’t even been seen yet. But, hey, it’s already the award-winning The Dark Knight Rises.
The film arrives next July.
