The sheer number of action, fights and chases crammed into the 70-second Spanish trailer below make the film look as much like an anti-aliased Indiana Jones movie as a Tintin adventure – ironically, it was through Raiders Of The Last Ark that Steven Spielberg was first introduced to the books.
Spielberg has been struggling to get a Tintin movie made since the early 80s, so The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn represents the culmination of almost 30 years of development and script rewrites.
We won’t know how well Hergé’s characters will come across in their translation to crisply-rendered CG, but Steven Spielberg’s feature certainly has the pace and sense of adventure of one of his earlier Indy movies, if these promos are anything to go by.
The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn is due out in UK cinemas on 26th October.
