Director Darren Aronofsky unites with Natalie Portman for the upcoming psychological thriller Black Swan. And here’s the latest trailer for it…
Following up easily his most mainstream movie, director Darren Aronofsky (the genius behind Pi. The film, rather than the number) has moved on to tackle a fascinating looking psychological thriller, one that he's been working on for the best part of a decade on and off.
The film, Black Swan, firstly gives Natalie Portman her most interesting looking role in some time, as she plays a one of a pair of ballet dancers in a production of Swan Lake. She's down to play the White Swan, while Mila Kunis plays Lily, who takes on the role of the Black Swan. And as you can see from the trailer, the rivalry escalates.
Also starring Vincent Cassel and Winona Ryder, and with an always-welcome score from Clint Mansell, Black Swan could yet prove to be a solid shot at the Oscars next year, not least for Portman.
The film is released on 1st December in the US (although, as the trailer proclaims, it's got some festival dates first), with a UK date yet to be confirmed. And here's that trailer...
