The man who brought the world Scream and the proper version of A Nightmare On Elm Street unleashes his latest horror flick. Meet Wes Craven’s My Soul To Take…
Even though the man himself is still hard at work putting Scream 4 together for release next year, Mr Wes Craven already has his next movie in the can, and it's set for release in October. Once known as Twenty Five Eight, and now called My Soul To Take.
He's written and directed the flick, which is the story of a serial killer who declares on the day he died that he'll be back to haunt the children of his local town. Fast forward 16 years, and there's a group of teenagers, a spate of murders, and - as the trailer points out - the chance that said killer's soul might just be back.
The film is out on 8th October in the US, although there's no official sign of a UK release date just yet. But what we do have is the first trailer for the film, which seems to be doing quite well until the music kicks in near the end. And we also have a poster too.
Tempting though it might be to dismiss this as just another teen horror flick, though, the pedigree of Wes Craven cannot and should not be ignored here. Here's that trailer...
