Brandon Routh stars in the adaptation of popular Italian horror comic Dylan Dog: Dead Of Night, and you can see the trailer right here…
Hugely popular in its native Italy, Dylan Dog is the latest in a long line of comic books to be picked up for a big screen adaptation. Directed by Kevin Munroe (responsible for 2007's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the movie stars former Superman actor Brandon Routh as the nightmare investigator of the title.
While we can't judge a movie too harshly on promo footage alone, the latest trailer looks like an 80s straight-to-video horror film, or an early episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Then again, we love straight-to-video films and Buffy at Den Of Geek, so Dylan Dog could make for a camp slice of comedy horror, though we do wonder what dedicated followers of the comics will make of it all.
A definite UK release date for Dylan Dog: Dead Of Night has yet to be confirmed, though the film hits Italy on 29 October. More news on the film as we get it.
Failing that, we'll have some info on cheap flights to Italy...
